Aftercare
Once your sweet pet is at peace—regardless of whether they had a loving farewell with me, another veterinarian, or passed on their own—I can facilitate their aftercare if cremation is your preference.
I will offer to collect a hair clipping and make a clay paw print impression as complimentary keepsakes before respectfully transporting your loved one from your home to my trusted crematory partner, Lasting Paws of Flagstaff, where he or she will be treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
There are two options to consider with regards to cremation:
Communal Cremation
Private Cremation
With Communal Cremation your pet is cremated along with other pets, and their ashes are not returned to you. This may be a good fit for families who have no desire to receive their pet’s ashes in an urn or who wish their pet’s ashes to be respectfully interred in nature along with other pets.
With Private Cremation your pet is cremated by themselves, and their ashes are returned to you in an urn of your choice. This may be a good fit for families who wish to save their pet’s ashes in an urn, incorporate their pet’s ashes into a memorial item such as a piece of jewelry, or who wish to scatter their pet’s ashes at a specific, significant location.
If you have chosen Private Cremation, your loved one’s ashes will be ready to come home in approximately 7 days. You may collect your sweet pet’s ashes directly from Lasting Paws of Flagstaff.
