“Dr. Lauren was phenomenal. I genuinely appreciate the level of compassion and empathy she had for Maxx and I during the entire procedure. She spoke softly and with language that intentionally didn’t impose any particular belief systems about life after death or make any assumptions about what I did or didn’t believe in. I cannot express how much that meant to me, as it isn’t an experience I’ve ever had in the past. Her respect for different religious and/or spiritual proclivities was incredibly impactful and meaningful to me. I appreciated so much that she let me guide the experience and take the time that I needed. She gave me an experience that I’ll never forget. Maxx got to lay on the bed and look out the window as he passed while I held him the way I do every night. I don’t have the words to describe what that means to me. The fact that I was able to give him this one last gift helps me feel a little more comfort with the fact that I had to make the decision to say goodbye to my best friend after thirteen years together. Thank you, Dr. Lauren, for what you’ve done for my very small family of two which is now a family of one. The work you are doing matters so much to me, I can only imagine that it matters to many, many other people as well. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank you in a way that reflects the magnitude of the impacts of this experience. Thank you so much for everything.”

“Dr. Lauren, thank you so much for the compassionate and quality care you provided to Fenny. My family and I felt very reassured as soon as you arrived and let us know that we were making the right choice for Fenny’s comfort and quality of life. We are so grateful that Fenny did not have to experience euthanasia in the stressful environment of the vet’s office, and she took her last breath at home surrounded by her people and fellow pup Pico. I hope all my current and future pets can have the same peaceful transition (when the time comes) as Fenny experienced with your care. Thank you again for everything; Fenny, my family, and I are so appreciative.”

"We want to thank Dr. Lauren for serving (for it truly was a service) not just Jassy but our whole family. Yesterday was a very hard day, but it is already one of our most cherished memories of Jassy. Without Dr. Lauren's compassion that would not have been possible. We are grateful."

“Dr. Lauren was absolutely wonderful… calm, patient, and explained everything. Was never rushed. Such a difficult job with sobbing people, in the yard, in the heat, laying in the grass with the dog. She never rushed us and gave us more time after the first relaxing injection. She covered him like a person on the stretcher. It was so difficult and emotional, and she was wonderful.”

“All I have to say is… YOU WERE WONDERFUL! We all agreed that your style/methods were so amazing, and we truly felt as if you were part of the family for that short moment. Gratitude and appreciation does not mean enough for what you did for us. Your compassion and love was felt. I hope all the other families feel the same for you as we did. Kiedis could not have been with someone better! It’s so hard and hopefully our footprint, hair clipping, and our photos will bring us tears of comfort and happiness. Thank you, Dr. Lauren, so much for taking the time to share a special farewell to our family member.”

“I just have to tell you how wonderful Dr. Lauren was with our girl on Sunday. In fact, she was caring and loving to three adult humans, as well as Mercedes’ brother. They are littermates and have been together since conception. He was bereft yesterday but seems better this morning. Dr. Lauren is an extraordinary person. I am eternally grateful for her care. We were blessed with her presence and knowledge.”

“Thank you for being there. Your service and your special gentle care was very much appreciated. Kiki was our little baby girl, and her passing has hit us hard. We have 18 years of loving memories and joyous experiences with her, and we wanted her to leave when it was her time. Unfortunately, her age and ailments were showing, and we didn’t want her to experience any more discomfort in her frail body. We wanted her to leave without experiencing any pain or suffering and your gentle touch and care gave her that last gift. I wanted to thank you and your wonderful vet-caring skills. It is truly a gift. Thank you, thank you.”

“I have to say that although last night sleeping was tough (because for a while now I had Puma sleep sandwiched between me and my pillows), I cannot thank you enough for your beautiful and kind support throughout the procedure. I felt completely comfortable with you and any thoughts or questions I had about Puma. You gave of yourself wholeheartedly with real empathy and warmth. Thank you so much for helping Puma and I travel this path with love.”

“I had a chihuahua that was neurologically impaired and has been a part of my family for 13 years. She was way more than family to my husband and I, but a big part of us. She was relatively healthy and started having cluster seizures. She started having too many that she would have had major deficits she would not have really come back from, and we had to unexpectedly make the decision to put her to rest… Dr. Lauren was the most respectful doctor. She walked us through everything and kept us at ease as we cried and were telling stories. She gave her medicine to relax her and to help her stop seizing as by that time she had 13 seizures in a 12-hour period. Dr. Lauren listened to our stories and pet my baby girl along with us as she passed. She made it the best experience during the worst circumstances. I’m not one to trust a lot of people with my chi, but Dr. Lauren has such a big heart, and I don’t regret my decision of going with her. She gave me a beautiful paw print to keep in memory along with a lock of her hair, and we went with the option to bury my baby so she could stay at home. Thank you, Dr. Lauren, for your compassion during all of this with Scrappy Doo. You have the biggest heart.”

“There is no limit to how much we needed and appreciated your empathy, compassion, kindness, honesty and skill. Maddy was our first pet, and she was also my heart dog. Thank you so much for getting to know and understand her. Yesterday was one of the hardest days of our lives, but you did everything humanly possible to help Maddy leave this world with love, dignity and without pain. You explained every step and bestowed us with a caring patience that meant so much at an agonizing and difficult time. Dr. Lauren, you were an absolute angel when we desperately needed one. Thank you from the depths of our hearts.”

“Patti & I are truly grateful to you for all your care & love in helping Paisley cross the rainbow bridge yesterday to fly with the Angels and be in God’s loving hands. It was such a difficult time for us & you made this process a little more tolerable. We were greatly impressed with your love & empathy for us. Needless to say, we will highly recommend your loving care & service to all our friends & family that may be enduring the same struggle we went through. You are a gift from God and it’s very clear you truly care for your clients. God bless you for what you do.”

“Thank you so much for coming to our house. You were so compassionate and efficient. I appreciated how you told us ahead of time what we might expect to see happen to Sugar during the euthanasia process; it’s always easier when you know what to expect. We appreciated how calm and gentle you were to Sugar, even after she passed - she looked like she was carefully bundled up for a nap. This was the best experience we could have hoped to have. Sugar got to be in a familiar environment, looking outside as the sound of the breeze and our words comforted her. Thank you for being so kind to us and to Sugar. This was quite unexpected and I hadn’t thought how I would react to her passing but it’s been really so so sad. She was the gentlest dog – you could even take food out of her mouth. And whenever we were upset, she would come and put her head under our hands or her paw on our legs. We are glad she is no longer suffering and glad she was in our lives for 13 years. She certainly enriched our lives.”
— Suzanne Albert

“Thank you and thank you for helping us with such a difficult process. When you came and sat with us, I immediately felt at ease. “Thanks for your note and, more importantly, thank you for bringing a very soothing, reassuring energy into our home. Your compassion was palpable and very much welcome at the final stage of Bigwig’s journey in this reality and his passing to the other side. He is reunited with many puppy-hood friends now, but we, of course, miss him like crazy. I can’t thank you enough for the professionalism and strength you exhibited.”
— Hunter Seger

“Dr. Lauren was helpful, very kind, and understanding. She was able to be here for the family and she was supportive and guided us through it all. She was kind and patient with our Maltese Jazz who was the other pea in the pod of Jada. She helped keep her calm and was supportive to us all.”

“We can’t thank you enough for all you did for us and our sweet boy Piston. Your care, compassion, and gentleness with which you cared for our Piston made this difficult decision bearable. We know that he is no longer suffering, and for that, we are thankful. Sometimes what is best is so very hard, but our love for Piston and his unconditional love for us helped us make that hard decision. When I called yesterday morning, I had no idea what this would be like. I am so thankful that YOU had time to help Piston. I believe that you were picked for us. I cried myself to sleep last night, and our home is a bit quieter, but I am glad that we have such sweet memories and pictures of Sweet P. I believe that we always wish for one more day. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, for the hard, but important work that you do, and not just that, but for taking the time to reach out afterward. Your kind words mean the world to us. Know that you are appreciated.”

“Dr. Lauren Clement made the process stress and grief free for us. This was the first time I had used a home visit service, but I knew I wanted it for my 18-year-old cat whom I’d had since she was 5 weeks old. She had stopped eating and was ready to go, and I didn’t want to drive her to the clinic and watch her be carried to the back for a catheter. She stayed in her bed the whole time while I scratched her neck and said goodbye. I can’t believe how much more peaceful the home process was, and after Dr. Clement left, my husband said to me, “I wish it could be like that for us.”
— Melinda Franklin

“Thank you so much, Dr. Lauren. I don’t know if I’ll be able to find the words to express how much you helped me be strong for Jayne. Your compassion was definitely felt by both of us and I came through the experience with your help, knowing that I made the right choice for her at the right time, and that gave me such a sense of peace but I still miss my little persnickety Jayne like crazy. Your overwhelming love for our furry family was so evident, in just the way you interacted with her and cared for her in the short time you were here. And it was strange, that she immediately went to you – she NEVER did that with anyone! I feel that it was because you were exactly what we both needed during that time, because I honestly didn’t think that I’d have the strength on my own, and I just can’t thank you enough. Much love and gratefulness.”
— Diana Akroyd

“We could not have had a better, more compassionate, understanding person to help us with our cat Lady’s (18 years) passing. This is not the first time Dr. Clement has visited our home. She helped us with another of our kitties (Milagros) who had cancer. My wife and I thank you for your kindness and patience with us and for your caring personality.”

I can’t put into words how much you mean to me even in our short meeting. You literally are an amazing soul. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a beautiful send-off for our beloved Princess.”

“Dr. Lauren was so kind, compassionate and helped us through the most heartbreaking and difficult day of our lives. She gave us the space we needed, allowed us to go at our pace and graciously listened to our stories of our beloved Tyson. “Dr. Lauren was so kind and compassionate. I am a social worker and work with people who have experienced trauma and traumatic loss, which sometimes makes it hard for me to be vulnerable to deal with my own trauma and loss. Dr. Lauren was perfect. She gave me all the time I needed and allowed me to do what I needed to do. Her heart and her compassion led the way. She showed such love to me, my husband, Joey’s doggie sister and brother, and most importantly to my Joey. Thank you, Dr. Lauren.”

“When our beloved tuxedo cat, Jasper, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we knew there might come a time when we needed a guardian angel to swoop in and peacefully release him from his suffering, and we found that gentle, benevolent spirit in Dr. Lauren Clement. From the moment she entered our home, it was as if we were reuniting with an old friend. The entire experience was so tranquil and intimate. She really took her time getting to know Jasper on an individual level, listening as we recounted our memories with him. She put us at ease in every way possible, clearly communicating each step of the process while treating Jasper with dignity and respect. Although reflecting on the moment of his passing is difficult due to the loss of his physical presence, we can take solace in the assurance that he was swiftly and painlessly unwound from this mortal coil by the tender, practiced hands of one of the kindest souls to ever walk the earth. We are forever grateful.”

“Today was the second time Dr. Lauren has helped our family. Once again, she arrived to a house that was filled with grief, pain, and worst of all, fear. She treated fear with compassion and pain with tenderness. When she left today, our home was still filled with grief, but the pain and fear had been replaced with peace. It may not sound like much but it is… We are grateful to Dr. Lauren for how she cared for first Jazzy and now Annie.”

“Thank you so much. I cannot adequately express the gratitude we have for your at-home care. Barley hated the vet, so we knew that was not an option. Rachel gained incredible comfort in having Barley laid to rest in her lap. He was a good ole boy, who appeared early in our relationship, and with the passing of both him and our lab Honey, it is a bit of a turning of a page. I know it cannot be easy providing the services that you do, but the overwhelming benefit of comfort, peace, and closure that you impart on your patients and their owners means the world!”

“I am still so amazed at how wonderful this service is. Dr. Clement also assisted putting my family dog Layla to rest a few months ago with my mom and I. I can’t imagine bringing my fur babies peace any other way now. The kind and caring way Dr. Clement guided Lily and I yesterday was nothing short of amazing. I found myself thinking of so many good times Lily and I had together instead of dreading what was coming next. I could also tell she truly cared about treating Lily, which means the world. The advice and knowledge she had for me and my 3-year-old on how to grieve was also priceless. Then assuring me that this was the right choice was so, so important and I’m very thankful for the way she explained it. Thank you so much, Dr. Lauren. I commend you on this profession and how amazing you are with our fur babies. I can’t speak highly of you enough, truly. You turned one of the worst days of my life into a more peaceful one.”

“Dr. Lauren was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process, including her reaching out afterward. She was kind and compassionate, and she genuinely cared for Charli. When I wrote back to her after she reached out, I told her a little about Charli’s life and how I was feeling, and I shared some pictures. Her response was exactly what I needed to hear. She thanked me so much for sharing and responded to how I was feeling; she noted how amazing Charli’s life was and that she could see how much Charli was loved. She was incredibly understanding and compassionate. Thank you, Dr. Lauren, for making this very difficult and sad time just a little bit easier.”

"Dr. Lauren, I cannot express how much you and your service meant to me saying goodbye to Sophie. Your compassion and caring was so evident and it helped me get through that very difficult time and give her a proper farewell. I know it helped Lottie being able to see and in her own odd way say goodbye to her sister. They were so bonded she would not have understood if I had left with Sophie and she never came back, that would have been heartbreaking. We are all getting over the huge hole this left in our lives, but you made it easier and I appreciate you! I hope you are as successful as you wish to be and know that I am forever grateful."
